“Write what should not be forgotten.” Isabel Allende

Researching in Forsyth County, Georgia

Robin researching in Forsyth County, Ga.

Once upon a time, there was a young Southern girl who was so taken by her family’s gift for storytelling, she decided to write everything down and proclaim herself the keeper of all things quirky, outrageous and historically telling about her kinfolk. You guessed it! That young girl was me. Now, a few decades ‘less young’, I’ve decided it’s finally time to not only share what I know about family and history, but explain how I work to dig out the details and put in plain words why, to me, it matters so much. This experience, coupled with a heartfelt desire to preserve as much historical data as possible, is the driving force behind this blog.
